1. How to activate the Direct app
- Go to the Infraspeak Hub.
- Select the Apps and Add-ons tab.
- Scroll down to find the Direct app in the list.
- Ensure the app is connected to use the Direct Page functionalities
2. How to start a Direct Page
- Open the Buildings app.
- Select the building you'd like to allow public reporting for
- In the top right corner, click the Share button.
- Turn on the option to Share publicly via Direct Page.
This will create a public page for your assets, but they still need QR codes to make them accessible.
3. How to prepare the QR codes for printing
- Click the Download QR codes button.
- A preview window will appear for the QR codes.
- Select the location type and equipment categories for which you'd like to create public pages. You can always return later to select and add additional assets.
- Choose the size and number of QR code stickers.
- Once finished, press Download to receive a PDF with the QR codes.
4. How to set the stickers in place
- Print the PDF with the QR codes. Ensure proper print and paper settings for clarity.
- Cut out the individual stickers, if needed, along with trimming page margins.
- Identify the correct spot for each sticker by checking the location name or asset code.
- Attach the stickers where necessary (e.g., on equipment or locations).
- (Optionally) test each QR code using a mobile camera to ensure functionality.
- Once completed, your public audience can use stickers to access asset pages.
5. How to see information on the Direct Page
- Point any mobile camera at a QR code to open the Direct Page for that asset.
- On this page, users can view:
- Location Name
- Building Name
- Company Name
- Equipment Category (if applicable)
- Number of open Work Orders
- Number of ongoing planned job orders
- Work Orders and Planned Job Orders history
6. How to report a work order through a Direct Page
- Open the Direct Page for the asset by scanning the QR code.
- Click the Report Issue button.
- The user will be prompted to provide:
- The area and type of problem
- A description (optional)
- Photos of the issue (optional)
Once reported, the work order is created and will be visible in your Infraspeak, as usual.
7. How to customise a Direct Page
- Go to the Direct Page settings to customize the following features:
- Enable work order creation
- Display the Work Orders registry
- Show Work Orders' names in the registry
- Display ongoing Work Orders counter
- Show planned job orders history
- Show planned job orders' names in the registry
- Display ongoing planned job orders counter
Additionally, you can customise:
- Company name
- Logo
- Cover image
- Primary brand color
- Secondary brand color
